Africa Day Celebrations and Rest....

Africa day is an annual commemoration of the 1963 founding of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), presently recognised as the Africa Union (AU). Africans in Africa and all over the world celebrate this day. By all standards, Africa is beautiful, bountiful and full of potential.

May 25th is Africa Day – a public holiday. People celebrate this day in all kinds of ways. Stephen and I got together with Graham and Sarah Giles and headed off to the Hillside Dams in Bulawayo for “brunch”. The scenery was lovely and we sat on a picnic bench overlooking the dam. Many people came to relax at Hillside Dam and quite a few brought their dogs along to take them for a walk.

The scenery and company was excellent and the time we spent there was very restful. It was good particularly for Stephen as he has a 3 day training in Kezi starting tomorrow.
