Soon and very soon by Steve Manhanga

Text: 11 Timothy 3:1 – 17
These are the last days. Paul warned Timothy that people would be lovers of money, lovers of themselves, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of god and having a form of Godliness but denying its power. He says, have nothing to do with them.
Stephen explained the meaning of each of these words.

Jannes and Jambles opposed Moses.

Paul urges Timothy to prepare for persecutions. How do we overcome and advance despite challenges?
1. Continue in what you have learnt
2. Continue in what you have become convinced of.
3. Continue to be fed and grounded in the word. Timothy had the examples of his grandmother Phoebe and his mother Lois

V16: All scripture is God breathed and is useful for
a) Teaching
b) Rebuking
c) Correcting
d) Training in righteousness

So that we may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
