Sunday service at Crossroads and Hove

The service at Crossroads was very exciting and quite a few apprentices from Ebenezer attended the service. The service was described as "fun" and "nice".

Stephen shared from Philippians 4:13 "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." The emphasis was on the word CAN. Many people think and actually believe that they CAN'T do certain things and alot of the time, especially in the rural areas of Zimbabwe, it's because of how they view themselves - their perspective - and what they have been told. Many people both young and old look down on themselves because of their poor home environment, lack of education and so on. They feel they cannot speak to other people.

Stephen reiterated that they CAN do ALL things because Christ says so. They can forgive, they can give, they can love, they can encourage, they can improve their lives etc, etc.

How we view ourselves is really important. Everyone was really encouraged by the word and are looking forward to next Sunday.........

The outreach service at Hove went well too. There were about 40 people who attended - the bulk from Crossroads as they wanted to support this outreach and get to know the folk from Hove. Interestingly, the meeting took place at a homestead called "Holy Farm". Stephen shared from Matthew 13, on the Parable of the Sower. The message was very well received and quite a few of the Hove folk "wished" they could attend Crossroads on Sundays to hear the word, for fellowship etc but the distance between Mablauwuni and Hove is great - especially if people are walking! At the moment, the plan is a once a month outreach service.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to pray. Much appreciated.......
