COSMOS at Crossroads

COSMOS team joining in on the morning stretches
It was just wonderful seeing the COSMOS team again and having them serve the villagers today and tomorrow. The Healthcare team comprises of a Doctor, several nurses, a physiotherapist, a team leader and helper.

It was great having some of the COSMOS ladies come and listen in at the Ladies Conference and the team fellowship with us at Crossroads on Sunday morning. They really enjoyed the service - the vibrancy of the praise and worship and the word.

This morning, the team starting setting up just after 8:00am - setting up rooms for Doctor Cliff Parry and the nurses, as well as setting up a prayer room. The triage table was set up too. We had 5 translators today but we are hoping for 7 tomorrow. Stephen Dewing - the team leader, gave all the folk who were waiting to be seen to some instructions on what was to happen. Gloria Parry then led everyone in some stretching exercises which was quite hilarious to watch before the 'patients' started being seen too.

There was a steady flow of people throughout the day and when COSMOS packed up at around 4 O'clock in the afternoon, they had seen a total of 119 patients. We are hoping that more folk will visit the Healthcare team tomorrow and be blessed by their 'free' medical service and prayer.

Nurses attending to a patient
It's so encouraging that Crossroads can be used to serve the community in such a relevant, practical way.
