An attitude of gratitude

There are so many "things" vying for our attention that being grateful or thankful can be furthest from our hearts and minds.
What is gratitude? Simply put......

It is such a good personality trait to be grateful. There are so many things we can appreciate and be thankful for, just as there are so many ways of expressing our appreciation. Its always great to have an attitude of gratitude for both the big things and the small things alike.

There are many scriptures on gratitude. Two that stand out are:
Psalm 118:1 "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever."
1 Chronicles 16:8 " Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the people's."

Being humble

Stephen Manhanga sharing God's word
Stephen Manhanga followed after Mbusiso Ndlovu and shared about humility. If we humble ourselves before the Lord, he will lift us up. He spoke about Eli and his sons and about Samuel - Hannah's son. It was Samuel who was willing to listen to God. Steve encouraged us again to run in the lane that God has given to us and to use our talents for the glory of God.

Praise His name

Only God Can

There are certain things that only God CAN do in our lives. When things are going great, they are really great........ The mountain experiences...... but its during the valley and gorge experiences, the trials and the storms of life, that God CAN pick us up. He lifts us up from the lowest points in our lives and CAN restore what the canker worm has eaten or has tried to have a feast on. He CAN get our hearts right. He CAN plant our feet on higher ground. He CAN make us stronger through these difficult times. Now only GOD CAN!

Blessed are they.......

Brilliant Khoza sharing the the word of God

Brilliant Khoza shared a great message this morning on the Beatitudes found in Matthew 5: 1 – 12

“And seeing the multitudes, he went up into the mountain; and when he had sat down, his disciples came unto him: and he opened his mouth and taught them, saying,
Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven .
Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek; for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness; for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful; for they shall obtain mercy
Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers; for they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are they that have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and  be exceeding glad; for great is your reward in heaven; for so persecuted they the prophets that were before you.”

Thought for the day

1 Timothy 6:12 -13 "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on the life eternal, where

you were called, and did confess the good confession in the sight of many witnesses..................I charge you in the sight of God, who gives life to all things, and of  Christ Jesus,.................. "that you keep the commandment, without spot, without reproach, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:"

Amen

Ladies Business Breakfast

Thandiwe Mlobane

“I don’t only inspire, I get people into action…. to get them going” were one of the first words from Thandiwe Mlobane after introducing myself to her. After listening to her share some business pointers, I can understand. She did an amazing job of not only inspiring the ladies but stirring up the passion for business (Looking at the businesses we have or if we want to get started)

One of the pointers she gave was rooted in a tree: the roots, the truck, the leaves, the flowers and the fruit. The root stands for our background, the trunk stands for our current life, the leaves stand for the information we receive (information dissemination), the flowers stand for aspirations and the fruits stand for completed projects.
Her understanding of business and the business world is wonderful. Thank you Thandiwe Mlobane.

We were also ministered to in song and we heard an amazing testimony. We were also graced by the presence of Minister Stembiso Nyoni.

Simple yet profound!

We can spend a lot of time looking for the "Big" moments, the "grand', the 'splashing out" and yet sometimes what we need is found in the simple, yet profound...........the quiet, the still, the soft and gentle moments, in the magnificence of Gods creation.
