Jesus knows what it's like....

Jesus the Great High Priest

Hebrews 4: 14 - 16

"Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

The breakthrough we are looking for

It was wonderful having Pastor Mkhululi Ncube, his lovely wife and part of their team visit Crossroads this morning. Mkhululi leads the United Pentecostal Church in Silozwe, a few kilometers from Mablauwuni.

 Mkhululi, better known as Cooper, shared from Luke 7:11 – 15. He started by encouraging the folk at Crossroads to get deeper in their relationship with God to have that breakthrough. He encouraged people not to speak negatively and not to measure their success by their environment.

 

He shared on how Jesus had compassion on the widow when her son died. Jesus spoke to her saying, “weep not”. He then spoke to the young man saying, “Arise. He sat up and began to speak.”Jesus first spoke to the widow before addressing her situation. Mkhululi said there are times when we need to call on Jesus and get our lives right before he can address our situations. At times we get disconnected from God and we need to reconnect with Him. This can happen by changing a few things in our lives.

 

Breakthrough can occur if we allow Jesus to speak to us. Sometimes breakthrough comes through deliverance. He said there is a need for people to come out of the “Mablauwuni mentality or system” and speak heavenly things. We need to pursue righteousness, speak positively about our churches and to wait on Jesus.
