Ladies Conference at Crossroads

On Friday 16th and 17th August 2014, Crossroads hosted a Ladies Conference and invited ladies from the different churches in Mablauwuni Community and the surrounding areas. Amongst the churches represented were TLZ, New Life for All, Seventh Day Adventist, United Pentecostal Church, General Foundation and others.
The speakers at the conference were Mrs Gertrude Nyamayaro from New Life for All (Magobeni), Mrs Molly Manhanga (Crossroads Community Church) and Pastor Faith Nheta from New Life for All (Bulawayo). Approximately 70 ladies gathered together to worship God. It was good seeing the ladies again and being part of that event.

Mrs Nyamayaro spoke from Exodus 1:15 and emphasized that God is looking for women who fear Him; 1 Samuel 25:1 - 3 and spoke about God looking for women that will be peacemakers and stand for the truth. Her final scripture came from 1 Samuel 1:1 - 10. She asked the ladies where we run to when we face problems and encouraged us to go to God.

Mrs Manhanga spoke about "What clothes are you wearing?" or rather; "Principles for Godly living". The main scripture came from Col 3:5 - 14. The ladies were encouraged to 'take off' anger, malice, wrath, blasphemy etc and to put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness and long-suffering. The ladies were also encouraged to know that they were women of worth and of value.

Pastor Nheta spoke from Exodus 1:8 - 11 and encouraged the ladies again to fear God as Proverbs 31:30 states "A woman who fears the Lord shall be praised". Pastor Nheta compared the African women to the Hebrew women and spurred the ladies on to be women of substance, of quality; women who see things spiritually and are moved by the spirit. We had an amazing time of prayer after.

Generally, it was a good conference and the ladies had such a hunger for God. Praise God!
