We have looked at the Samaritan woman at the well and Esther. Today we will focus on the crippled woman whom Jesus healed on the sabbath.
The
crippled woman healed Luke 13: 10 – 17
Jesus was teaching in one of the Synagogues on the
Sabbath and a woman was there who had a disabling spirit which crippled her for
18years. She was bent over and could not straighten up. It is said that the
bones of her spine were rigidly fused together.
What she didn’t realize was that it was her moment
to be set free.
Jesus saw her
and called her forward. Amazing how
Jesus took NOTICE of her and he too Notices us…..everything about us!
Like the woman at the well, Jesus spoke first,
“Woman, you are SET FREE from your
infirmity.” He put his hand on her and
IMMEDIATELY she straightened up and praised God.
Woman, you are set
free. He laid hands on her and IMMEDIATELY she straightened up and praised
God. The woman was freed from her physical handicap.
To
Conclude:
In order to be a woman or man that is set free, we
need to come to Jesus.
When we are set free, we have a testimony.
Ephesians
2:10
says “For we are God’s workmanship,
(we are His work of art, His Masterpiece) created
in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God has prepared in advance for us to
do.” We are a work of art, not something to be crumpled up and thrown away.
We are a Masterpiece!
The truth of your value is that God loves you. It’s not determined by the clothes you
wear, the car you drive, your job, the house you live in, titles etc. God loves
you!
When you understand this truth and know this truth,
it will set you free. When you are free, you are free indeed!
The woman at the well told the town “I met a man who
told me everything about myself”. Her testimony got many people saved.
Esther had
her Supernatural response and the Jewish people were saved.
After 18 years, this crippled woman had her
life-changing encounter with Jesus. From being bent, she was set FREE and
straightened up and praised God.
What is holding you back today? Are you bound and
want to be set free? Jesus is here today and we will pray for you.
AMEN
& God Bless You.
