A love that is never ending
Romans 8:38-39
And I am convinced that nothing can
ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor
demons,[b] neither
our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell
can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above
or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to
separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Mirror Images (pt 2)
There are other times we may look into the mirror and the
person on the other side is unrecognizable. Life’s troubles or ambitions have
changed that person. How far are they willing to go before they realize
that the reflection staring back at them is unrecognizable. How has life’s
problems ‘weathered’ them down to make them change so much, that the reflection
staring back at them seems to be that of a stranger.
Either way, that reflection looking back was created in
the image of God and He certainly doesn’t change. The Bible tells us that He is
the same yesterday, today and forever. His word doesn’t change either. The
person looking into the mirror makes choices on a daily basis and that mirror
image staring back is a reflection of the choices we’ve made. Let’s make
choices that bring Glory and Honour to God.

Mirror Images (pt 1)
What do we see when we look into a mirror? Easy enough –
it’s a reflection of ourselves. Most times we look into the mirror to see if
our teeth are brushed properly, our make-up is looking good or whether our hair
is combed/brushed or styled the way we want it. We look and see whether our
physical appearance is great before stepping out that door to face whatever is
ahead of us.
On closer inspection, the reflection that stares back at
us could be confident, knowing their value and worth and a reflection that
encourages himself or herself:
·
I am fearfully and wonderfully made
·
I am a child of the Living God
·
I am a royal Priesthood
·
I am unique
·
I am a masterpiece, uniquely made
·
I am the real-deal and so on

Encouragement for the Day
In a Battle
Most of us know that we are in a battle and when we think
we have overcome one battle another one pitches up at our door.
When we think
about David fighting Goliath, he minimized the problem and magnified God.
Shadrek, Mishek and Abednigo minimized their great challenge and magnified God.
When Moses faced the difficulty of the Red sea on one side of him and Pharaoh’s
army approaching on the other, he minimized the problem and magnified God. When
Samson’s eyes were gouged out and he was walking in circles, he called upon God
to give him strength just one last time.
Our battles sometimes appear to be people and we think
we need to fight each other to gain victory or to have the upper hand. Ephesians 6:12 tells us that “we are not fighting against flesh and
blood” but against rulers, principalities, wickedness in high places.
2 Chronicles 20:15 tells us not to be
“afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude for the battle is not’
ours ‘but Gods.’ He again comes to the forefront.
For our breakthrough to happen, we need to put everything at His feet.
How we need to magnify God in everything! There is power in the name of JESUS.

Let your light shine
The death of televangelist Billy Graham affected many people
differently. Many tributes were sent and those that knew him spoke about how he
had touched their lives through his servant heart, humility, faithfulness,
obedience and love of the word of God. Many a great leader was born out of
hearing the gospel shared by Billy Graham.
It is inspiring to read his sons say:
Franklin
Graham – “……the man seen by millions around the world preaching
the Bible was the same man at home.”
It is those closest to us, those we live
with, who know what we are really like.
That clichéd saying rings true yet again – your public life and your
private life need to be in line.
Nelson
Graham - “He was faithful. He was available and he was
teachable.”
This man’s light shone bright for the world to see. Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine
before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is
in heaven.”
Many Christians “lights” are shining brightly around the
world. Regardless of circumstance, pressures, challenges etc, we need our
‘lights’ to shine in the darkness. John 1 : 4 says Jesus Christ "was life, and that life was the light of men."
