Let your light shine

The death of televangelist Billy Graham affected many people differently. Many tributes were sent and those that knew him spoke about how he had touched their lives through his servant heart, humility, faithfulness, obedience and love of the word of God. Many a great leader was born out of hearing the gospel shared by Billy Graham.

It is inspiring to read his sons say:

Franklin Graham – “……the man seen by millions around the world preaching the Bible was the same man at home.”

It is those closest to us, those we live with, who know what we are really like.  That clichéd saying rings true yet again – your public life and your private life need to be in line.

Nelson Graham - “He was faithful. He was available and he was teachable.”

This man’s light shone bright for the world to see. Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Many Christians “lights” are shining brightly around the world. Regardless of circumstance, pressures, challenges etc, we need our ‘lights’ to shine in the darkness. John 1 : 4 says Jesus Christ "was life, and that life was the light of men."
