Chronological Bible Storying: healing of the lame man

Sam Poe exhorting the Church

We had an amazing time at Crossroads yesterday. The story that was told was of the healing of the lame man from Acts 3:1 - 26. This man sat at the gate of the Temple called Beautiful asking for “alms”. Peter and John walked by wanting to go into the Temple and saw the man asking for alms. Peter’s words were faith-filled “Look at us” in v4 and catching the man’s attention, Peter continued in v6 “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” We are told in v7 that IMMEDIATELY his feet and ankle bones received strength and the man leapt up, stood and walked – praising God. As onlookers and those in the Temple were filled with wonder and amazement, Peter preached in Solomon’s Portico about Jesus. Not everyone was amazed: the priests, captain of the temple and the Sadducees were greatly disturbed…….
More about that on Sunday……

Amazing service at Crossroads

The awesome thing is that 99% of the Church responded to the call for prayer and for healing. Faith levels were HIGH, healings took place and we’re looking forward to hearing some healing testimonies on Sunday.

God is so GOOD!
