5 reasons why it is important to read the Bible....1. SOAP – Soap cleans us. When the Bible comes into my heart it changes the way I think. It cleans me from wrong attitudes, thoughts and lifestyle.
2. FOOD – Jeremiah said he eats the word. You can’t eat the Bible literally but the contents are food. Eat the contents of the word.
3. LIGHT – The word is like a lamp unto my feet. It’s a constant light that shows us the way so I can see and understand.
4. MANUAL – The Bible is a manual for life. If we don’t know how to live or what to do, go back to the Bible – the manual.
5. LETTER – The Bible is God’s letter to us. We read his thoughts in this letter. Sit and read God’s word.
We have the most important book in the world. Let’s make it important in our lives. Let’s enjoy Jesus in our lives and through the word. We’ll never be the same if we read the Bible. When we are confused, tired, weary, read and eat the food of the word.
