The gift of Tongues
This is a divinely inspired ability to speak forth in a tongue/unknown language publicly. It is always accompanied by an interpretation.
Interpretation of Tongues
This is when an inspired message in tongues is interpreted in a known language.
Prophecy
This is a divinely inspired utterance and it comes to reveal the heart of God. It is often the gift that is used as a vehicle for all the other gifts. It is to simply hear God and to speak out what is on His heart.
Any believer can use the gifts of the Holy Spirit BUT it will be nothing but a loud noise of clanging cymbals if it is not accompanied by love. The gifts are never ours to possess. They are the Holy Spirit's.....................................................................................................................It only becomes a gift when it is given to somebody else. The gift is never for you to hold onto, it is for you to give to someone else.
