Faithful Stewards Conference pt 2

Alan Norton heads up Faithful Stewards and he encouraged the Pastors and leaders from the rural areas to:
1. Be blessed - blessed and refreshed. Jesus said if you are weary and heavy laden, come to me. Take my yoke.....find rest for your souls. Sometimes we think that resting is doing nothing. By putting on the yoke of Jesus, you are doing something. Do it His way and you'll find rest. There are many people who are tired.
2. Be envisioned - when we continually serve people and there are continuous problems, you get tired. You'll get worn out if that is all you know. People perish where there is no vision. Alan said he hoped the delegates would get a BIG vision.
3. Be equipped - equipped with weapons for battle. There is a physical battle but also a spiritual one against principalities, powers and wickedness in high places. We are in a war and we need to be equipped. Poverty is a battle, poor financial management is a battle, bad use of time is a battle etc. We need weapons to equip us. We need to get out of the "begging bowl" mentality. God wants us to be excited.
We then spent time praying for delegates from Mozambique and from around Zimbabwe:
Kaitano - near the Mozambique border
Dotito
Kezi - Matobo district
Makonde district
Chiweshe
Bindura and the FSP team. We prayed that God would train and transform everyone. We needed to have faith for the areas we are working in.
This was an excellent introduction to the conference.....
