Peter Cunningham shared an inspiring word......
Bill Johnson states "It's abnormal for a christian not to have a appetite for the impossible. It is written into our spiritual dna to hunger for the impossibilities around us to bow at the name of Jesus."
Jesus is all around -everywhere. The reality is that we live in the physical and spiritual world. Faith is seeing the unseen. Elisha saw horses and chariots all the time. He didn't only see the physical but the spiritual as well.
What does God have for Africa? There is so much beauty in Africa as well as so much pain. we desire an Africa where there is freedom, peace, life, passion, hope, love etc. An Africa that is rebuilt, restored and released. Africa Arise!
Africa has been known as the dark continent and it's beauty has been devastated. The environment is marred by poverty, disease, corruption, brain drain etc and yet there is this mad rush or scramble for Africa's resources. Kofi Anan says that "Africa's profitability is one of the world's best kept secrets." There is oil, minerals, agriculture, communications. Our hope is for this generation to see a different Africa. The continent is rich and on the move. However, there is a battle of the faiths which will either be won or lost in Africa. The church view widely accepts syncretism i.e. Jesus as well as ancestoral worship. The church is not really seen as the action vehicle for change, hope and life.
The reality of the church is that it holds the keys to the Kingdom, it has all authority and where there is no vision, the people perish. The church needs to connect to God's vision.
Peter then spoke on different views of Africa i.e. how the spirit world sees Africa, how the angelic army sees Africa and how does Jesus see Africa? Jesus says he will be with us till the end of time, all authority has been given to us and that we should go and make disciples. Matthew 28:19
Hebrews 3 speaks about us not hardening our hearts through unbelief. "A strategy without God is not God's strategy."
His intent was that now through the church, the manifold wisdom of God would be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms.
