Last Saturday 33 men gathered at Ebenezer before heading to the Ebenezer Dam for a fishing competition and social time. Stephen Manhanga called the event Fishers of Men.
The men prepared their fishing rods and worms which they used as bait to catch the fish. Prizes were given for the largest and smallest fish, the man who caught the most fish and the oldest man at the meeting. Mr Morris Ndlovu, a community leader was the oldest man. He was born in January 1942. The man who caught the most fish came back with 102 fish in under 3 hours. Other prizes were handed out. The men seemed to have had a wonderful time of fellowship and lots of fun.
The next Men's event will be in May and they will be cycling around the community.
